Chief Operating Officer, Veteran Life Services

Adam brings more than 20 years of operational leadership experience from the New South Wales Police Force, where he served as a Sergeant and Tactical Operative within the Public Order and Riot Squad under the Special Tactics and Counter Terrorism Command. During his policing career, Adam worked in some of Australia’s most demanding operational environments, specialising in counter-terrorism support, public order management, high-risk incident response, emergency management, and specialist operations.

Tactical and command experience

In addition to frontline tactical duties, Adam was qualified as a Police Search Adviser, providing strategic oversight and operational direction for complex search operations. His career included planning and leading major policing responses to high-profile incidents, dignitary protection, organised crime activity, natural disasters, and large-scale public disorder events.

His responsibilities included operational planning, tactical risk assessment, multi-agency coordination, and command-level decision-making in high-pressure environments. Adam regularly worked alongside federal, state, and local government agencies, security stakeholders, and emergency management partners to deliver coordinated operational responses.

Police-association advocacy

Adam was widely respected as a police-association representative, where he became a strong advocate for officers and their families. In this role he worked closely with members to support welfare needs, injury management, workplace advocacy, and access to mental health services — building a solid reputation for his commitment to the wellbeing of those he served alongside.

Qualifications and recognition

Adam’s professional qualifications include postgraduate study in Crisis Leadership and multiple advanced diplomas across emergency management, leadership, investigations, workplace safety, risk management, project management, and business. His service has been recognised through a number of professional honours.

Community service

Outside of policing, Adam has maintained a long-standing commitment to community service as a volunteer firefighter with the NSW Rural Fire Service and a surf lifesaver with Surf Life Saving Australia, further reinforcing his dedication to protecting and supporting communities in times of need.
